Our mission
The National Theatre Bookshop is the UK’s leading theatre bookshop with specialist drama books at the heart of our business. We aim to represent the breadth of what is happening in the world of theatre and stock virtually every new release relating to theatre, from specialist publishers like Samuel French, Nick Hern Books, Methuen and Faber Drama.

Among our current staff we have directors, playwrights, actors, and producers all of whom are passionate about sharing their expert knowledge about theatre.
As part of our bespoke service, we offer free 1:1 calls to share our knowledge and enthusiasm for theatre and provide support and educational materials for teachers and students.

Connections Festival
Connections is the National Theatre’s annual, nationwide festival, which champions the talent of young people from across the UK.
At the bookshop we have a collection of Connections play anthologies from over the years. Each feature plays for young people to perform, from some of the UK's most exciting and popular playwrights.
